President or Vice President

MANAGEMENT TRACK - The Regional Vice President has a depth of professional experience and is responsible for the day to day operation of the office, business development efforts in the region and strategic staffing. They work with the President and Executive Team to achieve objectives and insure the long-term company viability. The President holds ultimate responsibility for company’s performance; is the “public face” of the company.

MANAGEMENT TRACK - Senior Project Professionals can advance to Project Manager with an advanced degree and 3 or more years of design experience. They are responsible for financial performance of a project, working under the supervision of a Senior Project Manager, a professional with 6 to 8 years of project management experience, who mentors and advises staff. The Department Head is responsible for the performance of the profit center.

PROFESSIONAL TRACK- A Technical Specialist has honed skills and is recognized within the industry as an expert in the field and serves on technical committees of relevant professional organizations like AISC and ASCE. They can advance to a Technical Officer, who serves as a mentor to associates, provides QA/QC review and is active in professional societies.

PROFESSIONAL TRACK - A Project Professional has earned a P.E. and understands and implements the best practices in preparing plans, specs, and related documents, using CAD. They work as a member of a team, and meet with clients and contractors as required. Strong written and verbal communication, self-motivation and leadership skills are required. They may advance to Senior Project Professional, overseeing other associates.

PROFESSIONAL TRACK - A Staff Professional holds a B.S. in engineering and has or is on track to earn an E.I.T. They are responsible for the execution of engineering tasks assigned by more senior associates. Staff Professionals are CAD proficient and prepare plans, specs, and related contract documents. They meet with clients and contractors as project needs require.

TECHNICIAN TRACK- The Senior Project Designer holds an associates degree and at least 8 years of experience in the field. They uses CAD to create working documents and can be involved in non-routine, complex assignments, including field work. Associates can advance to Design Staff Supervisor, who plans, assigns, and reviews the work others to ensure adherence to standards.

TECHNICIAN TRACK - Staff Technician holds a Technical school degree in drafting or a minimum one course, college-level drafting class and is capable of using Autodesk. With experience, they can advance to Project Technician and then Senior Project Technician who have the proficiency to assist with design.
