Engineer degree specialized in mechanical or electrical engineering. 4-6 years’ experience in maintenance, inspection, technology in technical centers, new works (running projects). Proven skills managing people (at least two years as head of an operational department). Experience developing/implementing preventive and predictive maintenance processes is highly desirable (i.e.: two years of experience as Methods engineer). Good knowledge of products and manufacturing processes (experience as plant engineer desirable), In-depth knowledge of maintenance management methods, of predictive inspection tools and of SAP. Knowledge of ADAP and good knowledge of problem solving tools, general mechanical/electrical engineering and industrial automation, safety laws and regulations. Experience in the development of quality management methods, for example ISO 9000 and TPM. Computer literacy. Personal skills. Result driven (reliability, cost). Ability to lead a change management process. Accuracy and precision. Good aptitude for organization and communication. Ability to take fast decisions. Initiative and innovative. Analysis capacity. Leadership capacity. Development of others.
5 years’ experience dealing with maintenance or production. Experience in heavy industry experience preferred. 2 years’ experience with definition and implementation of preventive maintenance programs and routines. Experience applying FMEA techniques and knowledge of basic problem-solving tools. Windows, Excel, Word, Power Point, Microsoft Office, SAP (PM, MM, PS, CATS), TIS. Knowledge of cement production process. Knowledge of CIF (Cement Industrial Framework), MAC (Maintenance Cement), ACS, CbM (Computer based Monitoring), Project Management Approach (PMA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Cost Basics preferred. IDEAL Certification preferred. Able to facilitate the collaboration of people in process area teams. Initiative and self-starting abilities; willing to take action to resolve problems. Customer focused, both internally and externally. Demonstrated technical proficiency for area of responsibility. Demonstrated planning, organizational and project-management skills. Champion of change. Recognized change agent with the ability to motivate others towards a vision of the future.
Minimum post-secondary education. Some college or technical degree education preferred. Strong mechanical abilities
Ability to successfully manage people/contractors. Maintenance experience working with a Maintenance Management system and work order tracking system. Experience on the tools with heavy industrial maintenance. Knowledgeable of Lafarge maintenance Best Practices. Computer literate in Word, Excel, Email, SAP, AutoCad. Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Knowledge of industrial safety techniques and practices. Experience working in a union environment. Experience working in cement, mining, steel or similar industries is desirable. Completion of LafargeHolcim Maintenance Inspector Certification Program. Ability to work in an industrial environment that may include dust, heat, loud noise etc. Able to stand, lift, push and pull heavy items (50+ lbs).
