Class 7 and 6 Mack trucks are built at the Roanoke Valley Operations facility in Roanoke, VA. Engines, transmissions and rear axles for the North American market are manufactured at its powertrain facility in Hagerstown, MD. Plant Manager

Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred. Formal training in leadership and communication. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in senior line management. Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, leadership, time management, creative and critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. In-depth knowledge of manufacturing.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering required, masters preferred. 8-10 years of relevant experience. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. Experience managing a significant segment of a large manufacturer. Thorough understanding of manufacturing and industrial production. Experience with manufacturing maintenance processes. Demonstrated ability to coach leadership and employees. Collaborate with site leadership team and senior staff.

Degree in engineering or equivalent experience required. 7+ years operations and distribution experience with leadership experience. In-depth knowledge of general engineering. Strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and planning skills, as well as leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Be a creative thinker. Demonstrated knowledge of the manufacturing business. Be willing to take initiative.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering required. 2-4 years engineering experience within Volvo Group. Proven record of taking initiative, responsibility, and driving improvements. Be the local specialist by giving input for best practices, steering the technology roadmap, and driving implementation in the plant.

Extensive knowledge of engineering concepts, manufacturing, the product, production standards, and efficiency optimization tools.
