A bachelor’s degree in education, a master’s degree in educational leadership, and a principal certification are needed. A director must have teaching experience. Leadership qualities, good communication, knowing best instructional practices in the classroom, and a love for helping and working with people are necessary skills.
Salary range: $100,000~$140,000
A bachelor’s degree in education, a master’s degree in educational leadership, and a principal certification are needed. An elementary principal must have teaching experience. It is important to enjoy working with children, be a good communicator, have a knowledge of best instructional practices, and enjoy working with people.
Salary Range: $85,000~$140,000
A bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in reading are needed. Classroom teaching experience is also helpful. A reading specialist needs to know the best ways to teach reading and writing in the classroom and to struggling readers. It is also important to be able to work with and support colleagues.
Salary Range: $40,000~$80,000
A bachelor’s degree and a certification specific to the grade level being taught are needed to be a teacher. An elementary teacher needs to be patient, nurturing, and enjoy working with children. Understanding instructional strategies and assessment practices to engage and monitor students is also important.
