Northampton’s neighborhood pharmacy, Newhard Pharmacy, was established somewhere around 1895. In 1969, John A. Pavis and Peter J. Stahl purchased the pharmacy from Aaron Newhard. Newhard Pharmacy has been a fixture on Main Street since its opening, changing facilities as the business grew and ownership changed. Today, John J. Pavis is the sole owner, purchasing the business from Mr. Stahl and his father.
Newhard Pharmacy is a full service retail & long term care pharmacy as well as a full service convenience store with a wide range of diabetic shoe fittings and accessories, home health products, athletic braces, vitamins, supplements, gifts, greeting cards, lottery, and sundries. Our mission is to be an affordable and accessible provider of home health to our community by demonstrating our commitment to excellence and customer service as a reliable partner to the health care community. We strive to be truthful, fair, build good will and friendships while engaging in business that is beneficial to all concerned.

All Pharmacists fill prescriptions, dispense medicines, counsel patients and medical practitioners regarding the nature and use of drugs, trains & supervises pharmacy technicians. Is manager in charge when owner is not present. Requires PharmD degree from accredited university(6 years), plus state certification & annual CE credits.
Salary $55-$75 per hour ($110K-$155K annually)
Operations Manager The Operations Manager provides overall management to their department as well as customer service to clients requiring pharmaceutical products, durable medical equipment and supplies. They manage their departments staff including clerks, packers & pharmacy technicians. No experience is required, certification is optional.
$20-$30 per hour
Long Term Care Pharmacy Technician The LTC Pharmacy Technician provides computer entry expertise and customer service to clients requiring pharmaceutical products, durable medical equipment and supplies in our store. On the job training is provided. No experience is required, certification is optional.
$15- $25 per hour
Medication Packer Medication packers packages pharmaceutical products per the client’s specification. Using blister packages and/or vials, medication is packed both daily and monthly per each customer’s specifications which varying significantly. On the job training is provided. No experience is required, certification is optional.
$10- $18 per hour
Retail/Store Clerk The Store Clerk is responsible for servicing any needs of our customers mainly front the front counter, manning the register, stocking the shelves and processing lottery sales. No experience is required.
$9-$12 per hour
