Act and advise in the capacity of maintenance technician SME of PET production lines. Ensure optimum safe and efficient operation of all PET production equipment using established preventive, predictive, and corrective measures. Convey these measures accurately to others via a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS, aka Maximo), verbal and written methods. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include using proper lockout/tag-out/try out, confined space, and hot work permits to maintain a safe environment and comply with EHS regulatory procedures. Performing all work in accordance with GMP's, housekeeping, good safety practices, and environmental regulations. Report health/safety hazards to immediate supervisor or EHS Department and make appropriate repairs. Perform basic computer skills as needed (i.e. e-mail, Maximo, OEE (overall equipment effectiveness)). Interpret intermediate-level blueprints, schematics, ladder diagrams, and exploded parts diagrams navigating both electronic and hard copies.
An Associate’s degree or four to six years of electrical/mechanical experience is needed. This salaried non-exempt position will report into the Engineering department and support night shift operations from 6:00pm to 6:00am on a 2/2/3 shift rotation. The EST must have an in-depth knowledge of plant packaging and process systems in order to provide accurate technical support and leadership. The EST is responsible for the identification and resolution of issues, review and revision of process and procedures, and enhancement of team member skills. The EST will support the plant operations in achieving the key results in safety, quality, productivity and cost, through the implementation of new equipment, continuous improvement and cost savings projects. The EST insures, in conjunction with plant Engineers that all federal, state and local regulatory requirements and industrial codes are adhered to in the repair and installation of equipment.
This hourly position will act and advise in the capacity of a SME maintenance specialist for (2) PET bottling lines. Ensure optimum safe and efficient operation of all PET production equipment using established preventive, predictive, and corrective measures. Convey these measures accurately to others via a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS, aka Maximo), verbal and written methods. EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION needed include HS Diploma/GED, minimum of 3 years Bottling equipment experience required, and certificate or degree applicable to the electro-mechanical field preferred. Work with maintenance planning and supervision to modify, develop, and implement job plan changes. Work with maintenance planning and supervision to develop and implement a process discipline approach to troubleshooting and taking corrective measures. Lead problem solving to reduce unplanned downtime and initiate action plans to prevent reoccurrence on all shifts. Participate as a member of continuous improvement or problem-solving teams.
