Freight Coordinator

To coordinate the efficient continuous operation shipping and receiving operations located on Park Street and/or Elizabeth Street, by facilitating the work team’s activities while maintaining a high level of safety, quality and productivity awareness. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following and reference qualifications listed on the qualification checklist (Tanker Unloading functions). Other duties may be assigned. Attendance is an essential function of this position. Perform and prioritize daily activities to include self-direction when the team leader is absent. Perform daily forklift checks and change the propane gas tanks or battery as needed with placement in the designated empty storage tank area or battery room. Any safety related concerns should be reported immediately. Become proficient in performing all Supply Chain functions including loading/unloading of trucks and tankers and staging. Prepare work area and equipment for shift. Ensure that needed materials are staged and maintain the level of supplies in accordance with daily production needs. Perform operator, line supply, shipping and receiving duties as necessary to ensure continuous operations. Utilize computer systems effectively for necessary documentation. Reference SAP for ingredient staging requirements and to verify the production schedule.
