The Saucon Valley Community Center is a not for profit organization whose mission is to identify the needs of the community and to service those needs through social and educational programs.
Founded in 1971, we serve the Borough of Hellertown, Pennsylvania and the surrounding municipalities.
Our management team consists of an executive director who oversees a staff of 20. A total of 66 percent of our staff have completed or are enrolled in an early childhood degree program or related field of study. The center is governed by a 15-person volunteer board of directors.
SVCC is licensed in Pennsylvania to provide childcare services to children as young as 18 months. Our facility is also in compliance with all facility and staffing requirements as mandated by the State of Pennsylvania.

BS ECE or equivalent + 7 yrs. exp. with private non-profit programming. Use of basic computer, program management & goal planning, able to develop/ manage a budget, community outreach/ fundraising, to hire/manage staff, program assessment, communication/people skills.
PTO 40,000-$50,000
Center Director AA or BS ECE or equivalent + 5 yrs exp. Ages 0-5 with supervisory exp. Use of basic Microsoft for forms, scheduling and reporting program updates. Exp. w/ environmental rating tools, child & staff assessment, budgeting, communication/customer service skills.
40 hrs./$30,000 -$35,000 yr., PTO.
Lead Teacher AA or BS ECE or equivalent w/ 2 yrs. exp. with ages 0-5. Able to assess, set individual child goals, implement weekly planning. Use of Creative Curriculum/ PA Learning Standards +. Exp. in a supervisory role, lead set up/management room environment.
$10.50-$14.00/hr. PTO/flex hours.
Lead Assistant Teacher HSD/CDA or ECE credits + 2 years exp. 0-5 yrs. in a group care setting, weekly planning, child assessment/individual goal planning. Self- starter, a team player, positive verbal/written communication, works well with families and peers, understanding of child development, facilitates learning and play.
40/hrs. wk. $10.00-10.50/hr, PTO flexible hours. 4 STARS Center.
Teacher's Assistant HSD and minimum 2 years work exp. with children. Early Child Development credits or work toward CDA a +. Able to follow daily routines, implement learning activities and positive behavior management. 4 STARS Center.
$9.50-$10.00/hr. PTO, flexible hours, teamwork+.
Teacher's Aide HSD or equivalent required. Some experience working with children. Reliable and flexible, able to work with people-team approach, willing to float to all ages-show initiative with classroom maintenance, must like children.
$9-$9.50/hr. 30-40 hr/wk. PTO- Flexible hours.
