The Children's Home of Easton is a private nonprofit organization that was established in 1885. We provide a caring, nurturing environment for children in need as well as providing assistance to their families. We provide a continuum of services, including group care and other family-like programs in a safe and compassionate atmosphere. We are fiscally responsible and provide long-term care through professional staff who guide, support, and encourage children to believe on their own self-worth and reach their full potential.
It is the policy of the Children's Home of Easton that staff candidates demonstrate sensitivity to the children of the agency. This sensitivity shall include but not be limited to cultural, socioeconomic and geographic competencies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities NeededWe are looking for employees that are dependable and reliable, must be a person of integrity and must be able to make decisions, using fair and good judgement.
This individual must have three years' experience working with children, must be a mature person capable of commanding respect of staff and residents and must be well-adjusted emotionally. Responsibilities include: available to assist the direct care in case of a crisis, provide written detailed reports, attend meetings and work cooperatively with other staff members. This person must have knowledge of all State Regulations and inform on-call supervisors of any violations or discrepancies. Full time position, must be 21, must have a high school diploma and valid driver's license. Must obtain required clearances before you begin employment.
In addition to the responsibilities below you must possess leadership qualities. This person must take on a more critical role in the residents day to day activities. They will communicate directly with upper management. They are authorized to make more detailed and determined decisions in the absence of a Supervisor. Full time position, must be 21, must have a high school diploma and valid driver's license. Must obtain required clearances before you begin employment.
Responsible for resident's personal development by following program guidelines, safety plans and guidance plans. Assist and guide residents with data to date basic living responsibilities. Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain professionalism in stressful situations. Complete daily logs, paying particular attention to the resident's activities, moods, role in the living group, response to discipline, taking of medication, etc. Full time position must be 21, must have a high school diploma and valid driver's license. Must obtain required clearances before you begin employment.
