The Upper Macungie Township Public Works Department provides the highest quality Public Works services to the residents through rapid response and enhances communications with an emphasis on excellence in all aspects of service delivery
The Public Works Department is regularly repairing and maintaining approximately 130 miles of Township roads. This includes, but not limited to street cleaning, line painting, snow plowing, leaf collection, permanent repair of roads, as well as patching and sealing.
The Public Works Department strives to maintain safe and clean parks. Upper Macungie Township has 498 acres of park land at eleven locations throughout the Township.
High School Diploma or equivalent, 10 + yrs. supervisory exp. Knowledge of
methods & practices in road operations; equipment & materials used in road
construction/repair; twp. Policies, rules, regulations, etc. Maintenance
knowledge of equipment/vehicles. Valid PA Class B CDL., Class A preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent, 2+ yrs. supervisory exp. Spraying License
from PADEP, Valid PA Class B CDL., Class A preferred. Knowledge of
materials, methods & equipment used in roadwork projects; Maint. & operation
of equipment & vehicles.
High School Diploma or equivalent, 1 yr. supervisory exp. Valid PA Class B
CDL., Class A preferred. Knowledge of materials, methods & equipment used in roadwork projects; maint. & operation of equipment & vehicles.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid PA Class B CDL., Class A preferred. Knowledge of equipment operating procedures; maint. & repair of equipment; Street/Parks/Sewer maint. & repairs. (3 departments within public works)
High School Diploma or equivalent. PA state inspectors License. Knowledge of maintenance & repair requirements of vehicles & equipment; safety rules & regulations & accident prevention practices.
High School Graduate or equivalent. Customer Service skills. Work outdoors. Booth Attendant/ Maintain & beautify our parks.
PT: less than 30 hrs. per week, less than 1,000 hrs. per year.
Seasonal: up to 6 consecutive months of work Must be able to work weekends
