KB Systems, along with our parent company Gemini Bakery Equipment, is a manufacturer and distributor of standard and custom bakery equipment in Bangor, PA. We specialize in custom equipment for bulk ingredient handling. We are a family-owned operation since 1969 and a recent recipient of the Honorable Mention Manufacturers Excellence Award in Product Innovation from the NE PA Manufacturers and Employers Association! 🔌 Iva Ferris, a former employee at the historic Bethlehem Steel, faced extreme hostility when she worked in the electrical repair shop over 40 years ago. She didn’t let that deter her from her craft, and she mastered the trade.
💪🏼 Bess King and other women started their careers as millwright apprentices at Bethlehem Steel in the late 1970s. Taunted by their male counterparts, they paved the way for pregnancy leave and safety protocols that are now standard in union contracts.
