Youth Ambassador Jenni Silfies interviews Gunnar Fox on the fourth episode of The Business
and Industry Podcast. Fox is the Vice President and General Manager of the PPL Center, a
sports arena and event venue located in downtown Allentown, PA. It is the home of the Lehigh
Valley Phantoms, the Philadelphia Flyers’ primary development team.
This podcast hopes to inspire high school students and job seekers. We want them to examine
different career possibilities and pathways. This will help them gain the knowledge and skills
they need to succeed in their future careers.
Fox has been at the PPL Center since its construction. He managed an arena in New Mexico and
worked in Canada for two years prior to taking his current role at the PPL Center. In this episode, he
explains his educational journey, which gave him the business knowledge and skills he needs for
success in his career.
Fox talks about the many job opportunities that are available in the Lehigh Valley. These include
part-time, full-time, and summer jobs. They are accessible to both high school students and those
actively seeking employment.
At PPL Center, there are positions available in every department, including those in security, the
kitchen, the box office, and more. PPL Center offers countless opportunities. All job openings can
be found on their website.
When deciding whether to apply for a job, company culture is crucial. Because it is in the sports and
