Get Training On The Job!
Are you looking for a job? Do you think you might lack some skills to get the job you want? On-the-Job Training (OJT) could help get you a job while teaching you the necessary skills of the trade.
On-the-Job Training helps the employer by reimbursing them for a portion of your wage while you are being trained on the job. This is an incentive for an employer to hire someone who is not trained or is not fully trained in all aspects of the job.
On-The-Job Training Eligibility
In order to be considered for an OJT, you must first enroll in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Program. Not all job seekers are eligible to participate in WIOA. In order to qualify, you must be a dislocated worker or an income eligible adult. Eligibility could also be extended to certain young adults ages 18-24.
