Student Intern Jenni Silfies chatted with Kurt Landes, the President and General Manager of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, for the Business and Industry Podcast. The aim of the podcast is to inspire high school students and job seekers to explore different career paths and acquire the necessary skills for success.

The IronPigs, a minor league baseball franchise based in Allentown, Pennsylvania, is actively training players who aspire to play in the Major League alongside the Philadelphia Phillies. The IronPigs’ home stadium, Coca-Cola Park, conveniently sits near the Workforce Board Lehigh Valley and PA CareerLink® Lehigh Valley headquarters.

In this episode, Landes shares his experiences and insights on what it takes to succeed while working at the IronPigs. He wants to provide students with the opportunity to explore different roles and responsibilities within the organization so that they can gain a better understanding of their own interests and capabilities.
