Migdalia enrolled in the EARN program in February of 2026, and from the start, worked her way toward success. Migdalia and her children escaped an unhealthy relationship and relocated to the Lehigh Valley for a fresh start. Always looking out for her children, she stayed strong and persevered through life’s difficulties, jumping into everything CareerLink offered. 

Migdalia began earnestly searching for jobs that would support her family. She successfully completed the Customer Service Boot Camp and loved every minute! She also completed the Interview Mini-Series and felt confident in her interviewing skills. 

Migdalia continued to diligently search for jobs. Meanwhile, she and her children moved into a shelter. Migdalia continued to work hard to find a job that would support her family so they could eventually move into an apartment or house. She continued to interview and show up to CareerLink with a smile on her face. 

Her hard work paid off, as Migdalia was offered a job working in housekeeping at Wind Creek Casino, making $16 per hour. She was ecstatic and accepted the offer! She is now working full-time, with benefits on the way, and is very happy in her new job. 

Additionally, Migdalia is working toward another goal – earning her GED. She hopes that anyone going through a difficult time can take hope from her story.
