On Monday, June 16, 2025, from 10 AM to 3 PM, PA CareerLink® Lehigh Valley at St. Luke’s Sacred Heart Campus in Allentown, PA, will host in-person bilingual workshops in English and Spanish. The schedule includes sessions on computer basics from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, keyboarding skills from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, a quick overview of Microsoft Office and Google Suite from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, and a workshop on effective email practices for job searching from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The event will feature guest speaker Jason Winkler from Lehigh Carbon Community College.

🔌 Iva Ferris, a former employee at the historic Bethlehem Steel, faced extreme hostility when she worked in the electrical repair shop over 40 years ago. She didn’t let that deter her from her craft, and she mastered the trade.
💪🏼 Bess King and other women started their careers as millwright apprentices at Bethlehem Steel in the late 1970s. Taunted by their male counterparts, they paved the way for pregnancy leave and safety protocols that are now standard in union contracts.
