The Workforce Board Lehigh Valley’s Business and Industry Podcast series features conversations with local business leaders in the Lehigh Valley conducted by Youth Ambassador Jenni Silfies. These conversations explore the businesses, career pathways, training, jobs, and career opportunities available in the area.

This series is pleased to feature Tyber Medical in its first episode. Tyber Medical is a medical device manufacturer located in Bethlehem, PA. Join us as our host, Jenni, speaks with Tyber Medical’s Toby Borcoman, Chief of Culture & Personnel and the VP of HR. They will discuss the company, career opportunities, and the essential role that their employees play in the success of the business. Because of his role, Borocoman is the perfect person to explain the two Career Pathways developed with Workforce Board Lehigh Valley.

Borocoman and CEO Jeff Tyber both strongly believe in creating clear career paths for their employees. This is important because it helps employees to grow in their careers and be happier at work. They know that when employees are happy, it leads to better job performance and a stronger commitment to the company.

In addition to a commitment to career pathways and employee growth, Tyber Medical also has a fun and engaging culture. In the podcast episode, Jenni learns about the exciting events and supportive leadership at Tyber Medical. This emphasis on fun and community helps to create a positive and enjoyable work environment.

As we celebrate #WomensHistoryMonth, we’re shining a spotlight on some incredible trailblazers in manufacturing.

🚛 Kethe Trevisan, a Project Manager at Mack Trucks in Lower Macungie, represents the modern face of the Valley’s automotive heritage, using engineering to optimize heavy-duty truck assembly.

🏗️ Karen Norheim, CEO of American Crane, is a prominent voice for women in technical leadership and advocated for "the road less traveled" in manufacturing, proving that women can not only work the floor but also lead the entire company.

🐾 Meredith Howell, a current student at Penn State Lehigh Valley, recently founded the campus's first chapter of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE).

Ready to follow your own path? PA CareerLink® can connect you with the resources, guidance, and support you need to shape your next career move! ow.ly/mQSb50YqebU
